About

Brittney Sabo was born and raised in Winona, Minnesota, a small town which lies in the middle of the Mississippi river. From an early age she was fascinated with ghosts, spirits, nature, and mythology. She spent a lot of time exploring the woods around her hometown and reading about the supernatural.

After graduating from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) in 2007, she went on to co-author and draw Francis Sharp in the Grip of the Uncanny! with her friend Anna Bratton. They were awarded a Xeric Grant in 2010 to publish this book, and are currently working on the next in the series.

Brittney has also published several other smaller comics, online and in print, and currently works as a background artist on Vertigo’s The Unwritten series. She is also and illustrator and print maker, and works at both in between drawing comics.

She currently lives in Minneapolis, with her two cats. She still loves mythology, folklore, and the supernatural, and is constantly researching and being inspired by all three.
