FallCon 2009 in St. Paul, MN
FallCon 2009 has come and gone, and I was apparently too lazy to post about it on this blog beforehand! Sorry about the lack of heads up.
FallCon is a very nice independent convention that takes place in St. Paul, Minnesota, every year on the state fair grounds. It’s super awesome, and you have a chance to meet a lot of Midwest comic book artist, writers, and cool dudes.
This year, as happens with apparently every convention I go to, I was seated next to the Canon brothers from Big Time Attic and some other MCADers, not to mention the Minneapolis branch of the Cartoonist Conspiracy. It was fun meeting a ton of people, and I got to finally meet a bunch of the artists who were in the Big Funny paper/show from this past August.
And, of course, mini comics and art were sold.
I didn’t take any photos myself, but here is one taken by my friend Don Ha, and below that are 2 drawings from the convention (which are also in the illustration section).
Zander Canon, Tim Sievert, and Me. And Tim’s orange hat.
You can never fall asleep in the woods and NOT expect this sort of thing to happen. It’s just common knowledge.
Feral children, raised by a Griffin, eating their dinner. Enough said.
In the next few weeks, I will also be putting together an Etsy store for mini comics and screen prints, so look for that in the near future. Perhaps just in time for Halloween?…

Lovely!!! I LOVE this!
